Combining the service and facilities of a Silver Award Winning three star hotel with the atmosphere of a Yorkshire Country Inn. You can be guaranteed a warm welcome at The Wainstones Hotel. We are all dedicated to making your visit one to remember. This present day structure has developed around a former dwelling dating from early 1700, originally the roof would be thatched. Pantile roofs were not used in our area until 1790 onwards.

For many years two grass fields near the present cricket field formed part of this holding. The Bradley family of long standing in Great Broughton held possession for a long time, milking their cows in these open fields during spring and summer, conveying milk by shoulder yoke back home twice daily.

Named after an outcrop of rocks on the the hills overlooking the picturesque village of Great Broughton the Wainstones Hotel has gained an enviable reputation for quality and comfort of it's bedroom, Pembrokes Bar and restaurant.

The Pembrokes Bar

Managing to bridge the gap between a sophisticated continental bistro and traditional country inn The Pembrokes bar has a unique and relaxing atmosphere.
It serves some of the finest bar meals in the area with the emphasis on quality fresh local produce, innovative and unusual dishes combined with traditional favourites. The bar offers local hand pulled ales and a selection of continental lagers along with a fine selection of wines. Described by a local critic as 'the Best bar none'. Obviously if you're not from the area it is a must to try something different, beware as you may develop too much of an appetite for it!

CORPORATE EVENTS AT THE WAINSTONES HOTEL

The Wainstones Hotel offer a high quality comfortable surrounding for any private dining event in our very own Resolution Suite. The exclusive air conditioned suite has its own bar within the room and private ladies and gents washrooms. Whatever the event the room can be adjusted in size to seat small private dinners as well as larger functions of up to 120 guests. The Resolution Suite retains a wonderful warmth and character with low wooden beamed ceilings mainly contained with in the original 17th century farmhouse building.
